Dear Friends:
While I was running the family business I saw the storm clouds on the horizon in 2006 for the Mom and Pop jewelry store. I closed our family business in downtown Walnut Creek before the economy and industry did it for me.
After closing the 59-year-old family business in downtown Walnut Creek, I took a sabbatical from the industry. During this sabbatical, I spent time studying the jewelry industry and the economy to see where Rinehart’s might best fit in, into today’s new world economy. While I was doing this I kept all my pertinent industry-related contacts as well as those of valued customers.
I have an exciting solution that would make my grandparents and parents pleased with the new leaner, more dynamic Rinehart’s. I have opened up a jewelry studio catering to the needs of the jewelry customer of the future.
I return not only with the expertise of a 51-year-old man raised in the industry, but also the youth to embrace the latest in jewelry design and manufacturing technology via the computer. I am very excited to offer this to my clients free of charge.
I still offer all the “tried and true” services associated with a traditional jeweler. As stated above, I have all of my contacts from the downtown store necessary to get anything you desire from leading manufacturers in the industry (loose stones, wedding bands, watches, etc.).
The Studio has created a win-win situation for you and me. For you, even lower prices and unparalleled one-on-one attention. For me, the ability to give you my personal attention in a less demanding environment. My hours are by appointment only.
I look forward to the opportunity to see you soon.

Mike Rinehart
Graduate Gemologist
P.S. If you have your jewelry insured and have not had the appraisal updated by myself or someone else, please do so today. The market is crazy to say the least; I’ll be happy to check my appraisals at no charge when you contact me.
